- The Destitute Children's Home, Pokhara, Charitable Trust is an Owhiro Bay (Wellington, NZ) based trust that works to raise funds to support the 23 children resident at the DCH in Pokhara, Nepal. We do this through a variety of fundraising initiatives as well as arranging sponsorship of individual DCH children by New Zealanders. The DCH is run by Nepali people and is independent of any religious or political affiliations. It relies on donations from around the world to continue its work. Emphasis is placed on education and the donations from NZ go to supporting the schooling and care of the children.
